What we collect, and when

The site has no forms and no accounts. We only hold personal information if you choose to contact us:

• if you email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you write
• if you apply for a role through LinkedIn, we receive what you share through LinkedIn, which is covered by LinkedIn’s own privacy notice

Why we use it, and on what basis

We use your information to reply to you and, for job applications, to assess your application. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and recruiting, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers or make automated decisions about you.

Who else handles it

• Cloudflare hosts and serves this site, and processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect it.
• Google Workspace provides our email.

Our fonts are hosted on this site, so no third party receives your details when the page loads. Where information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on UK-approved transfer mechanisms or adequacy decisions.

Cookies and storage

• Cookies: none are set.
• Analytics, advertising or tracking scripts: none are run.
• Local storage: none is used.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries while the conversation is active and for two years after. We keep job applications for up to twelve months after the role is filled, unless you ask us to keep them longer. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for:

• access to your information
• correction
• erasure
• restriction
• objection
• portability

Email mark@system-two.com and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), though we would welcome the chance to put things right first.

If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top of this page.
